WHY WOULDN’T WE BE ANGRY?
Tate Collective Producers respond to Nashashibi/Skaer’s WHY ARE YOU ANGRY?, a film exploring the narratives that surround Gauguin and his time in French Polynesia and asks fundamental questions about representations of women, colonised lands and the power of myth.
WHY WOULDN’T WE BE ANGRY? was made in collaboration with Isabel Lima, as part of the Tate Collective Creative Workshops, where Tate Collective Producers met every Saturday over 5 weeks to design activities and events for the U Studio festival on the 24th of November.
